I took this photo at a stop light earlier today when we were about town just after I took the photos of the yesyesyes warehouse. Its an old florist's shop that has been here since the 1960s. I love the color of it! Someday I am going to have our picture made on that bench. Its the cutest little shop that has technicolor tinsel trees at Christmastime and smells like musty green floral foam.
Check out this pose! She is working her new dress. Gosh how I love this child! And this dress! We went in to purchase a gift for someone. Afterward I remembered that PIN on pinterest about how you go into Target for one thing and leave with a cart full and you are like what happened?!!! Yea today I kind of... maybe possibly may or may not have gone on an Old Navy children's clothing binge that involved multiple child bathing suits and more peep toe jelly I mean "jello shoes."
In other news the thrifted blue sofa is safe and sound at the upholstery shop where I tore fabric out and off of it for 3 hours. It was not a good time. Lets just say there were 2 layers of fabric and 100,000 staples resulting in my instructor probably hating me now and needs a tetanus shot. Alas our original sofa is temporarily back in the place of honor betwixt the matching end table and lamps. I threw this thrifted crocheted blanket on the back and covered it with pillows to dress it up. It will please me until the other one makes its triumphant return.
This next photo is deceiving because the chairs are actually not reattached yet. That is why one chair appears to be taller than the others. I got eager and just wanted to see what it was going to look like in here once they are finally put back together. Which has proven to be a little bit of a challenge. The rivets we ordered were the right size but the heads were not flat enough and would be really uncomfortable to sit on. I don't know what the backup plan is yet...That big blank wall behind the dining table needs a lift. I have been rolling a few ideas around in my head for wall art. My first idea was a gigantic distressed antiqued mirror but it is so heavy I am not sure that the plaster walls can take it. I have a huge canvas I was thinking I could stensil some all caps words on. I want it to say something strong and powerful.I am inspired by these salon style arrangements for over our sofa. I already have quite an eclectic collection of things for my wall. Its been 5 years. Its time to put some holes in it!

Also today the girls had dance. I love this picture of Sophie's twinkle toes. Hannah got my camera and took a dozen photos of the TV and the furniture. Haha Its funny because there is a scraggler tag laying on the floor.
And I leave you with this:
