Progress Makes Me Happy

I just wanted to post a few pictures to show how the fiberglass shell chairs are coming along. First step was to remove the rivets.
I took some closeup images to show the kind of damage and wear we were dealing with. Even after scrubbing them down with dish soap and magic erasers... I discovered that I actually had 6 "white" (beige) chairs, 2 light gray chairs and one peach colored chair.

ENTER Krylon Fushion spray paint formulated specifically for rigid plastic surfaces.
The above photo was taken before I sprayed a satin sheen clear coat on the legs which toned down the shine factor. They're perfect! I will be sure to tell you later all the brands and names of the products I used.
Before & After
This project is turning out to be less work than I thought! And who doesn't love it when that happens???!!!
The refinishing of the dining table actually seems like the more difficult and scary task at this point. Oh how the table has turned. Puntastic.
