Hannah's 6th Birthday party

On Hannah's birthday morning she woke up to a room full of balloons. It was a lot of work and oxygen deprivation but worth it to see her face light up! Seriously I got all light headed and couldn't feel my hands or feet by the time I was finished blowing up the balloons. Haha

I lit the cake and we sang happy birthday so Hannah wasted no time (I mean N O N E) and blew her candles out so quick no one got a chance to snap a picture even with cameras in hand!!! The cake was a 4 tier fail inspired by one on pinterest. Hannah asked for a tall, tall cake with rainbow colors so I covered it with sprinkles. I tried to make it pale blue but it turned out to be a slanted mint green cake instead. But she still loved it and that's what counts! And I think it tasted pretty good too...



I purchased her pretty birthday crown from the lovely Lindsi of  People Webs  on Etsy. She also has a beautiful blog which you can read HERE. I surprised Hannah with it instead of a traditional birthday hat and she was thrilled! She loves crowns!

Hannah has taken an interest in butterflies lately. She received a Butterfly-in-a-jar from her Great Aunt Nett that she had been wanting badly. Its a realistic looking butterfly in a mason jar that flutters about when you tap the lid. Hannah adores it. So imagine her surprise when we found a real life butterfly at the Church and we were able to get it into her hand! And I caught it on camera! Today when she saw me uploading the photos from her party she excitedly told me that her wish had come true she got to hold a real butterfly! So sweet!

Hannah has brought such joy to Jonathan's and my life. And to our whole family! I can now barely remember my life before she came into it and can't imagine it without her! I thank God for preserving hers and my life on that day 6 years ago(plus one day now) and for the blessing that she is and the woman she will one day become. She is an arrow in the hand of a warrior :)
